What chemicals do you add to the steamer while detailing my car?

None! In our most conscious effort to go green and give you the leanest, meanest clean, we chose to provide the deepest method of cleaning with the least chemicals – steam (or dry vapour in our case)! Steam alone at the temperature we use to clean your vehicle kills 99.9% of ALL germs, harmful bacteria, mould, viruses, dust mites, fleas, ticks, bedbugs, you name it, so the use of harmful chemicals is not necessary!

However, while we don’t add any chemicals or harsh products to the machine, in some cases we may use our eco-friendly, plant based, biodegradable products when needed.

Will steam detailing my car deodorize and sanitize it as well?

Absolutely! When water is heated above 212°F in our machine, it turns into a dry vapour steam, this same “steam” not only removes grime, caked on dirt, and grease, but it also kills up to 99.9% of all germs, bacteria, mould, dust mites, viruses, etc. on contact within seconds. Since all of the offenders listed above are the leading causes of that stinky smell, by eliminating these, we can sanitize and deodorize simultaneously!

What Is the difference between the claim that steam cleaning kills 99.9% of germs and my usual chemical cleaner that claims to kill 99.9%* of germs?

The marketing myth of the “kills 99.9%* of germs” has been used for years to drive up sales, but what does it really mean? In essence, these chemical products can kill germs, however the * that you see after the % tells you it’s time to read the fine print! The reality of these products, is that once they kill up to 99.9% of a select few types of germs in pristine lab conditions, they are able to put the claim “kills 99.9%* of germs” on their product to boost sales. Most studies found that these products tend to only be able to target 2 or 3 types of bacteria, and not only do they only target a few of the many bad critters out there, they were also found throughout various tests to only actually eliminate 40-60% of those specific types of bacteria! Yuck!

On the other hand, our powerful dry steam vapour cleaning method actually kills 99.9% (and sometimes 99.999%) of bacteria, germs, dust mites, mould, viruses, and the list goes on!

How does steam get rid of bacteria from my air conditioning ducts?

Air conditioning vents are the perfect hiding place for bacteria, dust mites and all kinds of micro-organisms. Steam is the easiest and safest way to combat these critters! By introducing our dry steam vapour into the air conditioning vents, we are able to kill, you guessed it, up to 99.9% of these unwanted passengers. Living in Bahamas, we often have our air conditioning on while we drive, however without proper cleaning, the vents can be a breeding ground for micro-organisms that are the main culprits in spreading disease, triggering allergic reactions and unwanted odours!

I have allergies to dust mites and moulds. Is steam cleaning right for me?

Steam cleaning (dry vapour) has been scientifically proven to be by far one of the best cleaning methods for those that suffer from allergies and sensitivities, especially multiple chemical sensitivities (MSCs). Not only does our method use zero chemicals, which can cause mild to severe harmful reactions for those of us who suffer from sensitivities and allergies, but it also has the ability to kill dust mites, mould, remove dust, deodorize and sanitize the surfaces and the air in your vehicle.

Cars can be an absolute hot spot for dust mites, moulds, and other allergens. These tiny critters can be found on your floor mats, in the fabric of your seat, on the steering wheel, radio, gearshift, cup holders and car seats – yuck! Steam cleaning enables you to get into the deepest crevices and cracks to help you eliminate these offenders!
